The board
The Board of ETT is comprised of local Employers drawn from the ECA, and NEEC trade associations together with other independent contractors across Northern Ireland.
During the year the Board meets with the aim of reviewing progress on behalf of the Industry in number of key areas:
- The Modern Apprenticeship Programme
- The payment of Employer Grant
- The provision of Industry courses and training
- The development of training policy on behalf of Industry
- Examination of Finances including Annual Audited Accounts
- To ensure the quality of the training provision
A number of other special meetings are also scheduled throughout the year with interested partners, these include the :
- Department for Employment and Learning (DEL)
- SummitSkills
- NICEIC
- Colleges
- AMICUS
The organisation has been established as private limited company with charitable status and as such operates on a not for profit basis. The Board members are unpaid and their services and attendance at meetings are offered voluntarily throughout the year on behalf of the Industry.
