Entry criteria

Reside in Northern Ireland and have a total of 16 points, derived from all GCSE results, inclusive of two GCSE Grade C qualifications in English and Maths.

GCSE grades A-E will be considered by most Employers in all other subjects. It should be noted that Essential/Key Skill qualifications in Maths and English at Level 2 may also be accepted, subject to Employer discretion.

Points are attributed as follows :

A 10
B 8
C 6
D 4
E 2

Meet all the necessary Health Requirements

  1. Have no colour vision defects
  2. Be physically fit
  3. Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces

Verification of health requirements must be obtained from both your GP and Optician. Your GP and Optician will be asked to sign date and apply the practice/surgery stamp to the ETT Registration Form.

Be in paid full-time employment with a suitable Northern-Ireland registered Electrical Contracting Employer

Finding a suitable employer is the responsibility of the prospective apprentice. Due to the nature of the programme, failure to secure an employer will prevent entry onto the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

Have a Level 3 Apprenticeship Training Credit issued by the local Careers Service Office
