Talk it over with the young person
Research shows that one reason why young people drop out of training is that they haven't chosen a subject that really interests them. You can be a real help to the young person you are supporting by helping them to identify the subjects that they enjoy and motivate them to learn.
Talk it over with the school, careers service and ETT
If you can inform yourself about the qualifications on offer, you will be able to help the young person make the best choice.
