About the apprenticeship - The structure

There are four main components to the JIB Electrical Modern Apprenticeship.
NVQ
Qualification Electro-technical Services
Awarding Body City & Guilds
Training Practical experience gained on-the-job with the employer. Compilation of a portfolio providing evidence of experience and knowledge. Assessment by qualified ETT Industry Training Officers
Certificate Technical
Qualification City & Guilds 2330 Certificate in Electro-technical technology Level 2 & 3
Awarding Body City & Guilds
Training Off-the-job training via day/block release at a local college during 1st and 2nd Year of apprenticeship. Online examinations and practical assessments required.
Key/Essential Skills
Qualification ES Numeracy ( L2) where required, ES Literacy (L2) where required, KS Information Technology (L1) where required
Awarding Body Various dependant on local college
Training Off-the-job training via day/block release at a local college. Online examinations required
AM2
Qualification Achievement Measurement 2 (Skills Test)
Awarding Body Licensed by National Electro-technical training
Training 3 day practical assessment undertaken in 4th Year of apprenticeship based at ETT Headquarters.

Successful completion of all four components will lead to the achievement of an NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation and JIB Grading as a qualified Electrician.
