First Amendment to the 17th Edition Regulations!

On the 20th April 2011, three ETT Training Officers ventured from sunny Northern Ireland to attend a course in Birmingham. Held by the IET in their Austin Court training facilities, the course covered the first amendment to BS7671:2008 (17th Edition Regulations)...

Essentially, the basic requirement of circuit protection is to protect cables and then the system and this hasn't changed. However, what has evolved is the demand for personnel and additional protection, with an increase in the use of integrated residual current protection and circuit breakers.
