17th Edition First Amendment Workshop

To get up-to-date with the changes to the regulations, why not attend one of ETT’s half day workshops?
The sessions will be delivered by ETT lecturer Ken Robinson (BSc MSc CEng MIET MIMechE), who will provide you with a concise and user friendly overview of the new amendments. The details for the event are as follows -

The first amendment to 17th Edition Wiring Regulations were published on 1 July 2011 and come into effect on 1st January 2012.
The main changes are as follows:
(a) Two new Sections have be added -
444 Measures against electromagnetic disturbances and;
534 Devices for protection against overvoltage
(b) Part 6 and Appendix 6. The Periodic Inspection Report has been replaced with an Electrical Installation Condition Report
(c) Two new Special Locations have been added -
710 Medical locations
729 Operating and maintenance gangways
(d) New Appendix 16 added; Devices for protection against overvoltage (SPDs)
A number of additions, minor changes and alterations have been made throughout the document to provide clarity and to implement changes to the requirements given in the International (IEC) and European (CENELEC) base documents.
