Working at Heights

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for people whose job requires them to work at heights and involves them using the necessary height safety equipment to do their work safely. This includes trades people, administrative and clerical workers. This course would also be suitable for managers/supervisors responsible for those working at heights and looking for a better understanding of the process and how to manage it safely.

Course Overview

The strength of this 1 day course lies in its practical element. Having time spent on practical training on a selection of equipment will help you become more confident with the skills necessary to work at heights.  We will work with you to help you understand what you should do and how you should do it, through valuable hands on practical training in small groups. You will study 6 units including -:     

• An overview of the legislation
• Safe use of steps
• Ladders
• Mobile Tower Scaffolds/Scaffolds (selection, erection and dismantling)
• Harnesses
• Mobile and Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPS)
