Maurice Torrington

Maurice has been with ETT since 1997.  He holds a wealth of practical knowledge, having himself trained as an apprentice electrician, before gaining real-world experience working as a professional electrician and as an Electrical Estimator Maintenance Electrician.

Maurice fulfils the role of AM2 Centre Manager for ETT.  As such, his key responsibilities are: to invigilate the AM2 Tests; order all appropriate materials; to maintain the AM2 booths to the required standard; and to liaise with the AM2 awarding body.

A resident of Ballymena, Maurice’s interests include motorsport.  A little known fact about him is that he was a member of pipe band that twice won the world championship.

The AM2 has undergone some significant changes and this week ETT hosted the first AM2 exams of the year. Two electrical apprentices, Karl Baine and Aodhan McCaffrey, sat their multi-choice online test and then completed the practical sections of the exam over a three day period.
