ETT’s Stay Connected industry event is a great opportunity for those who are serious about investing in and maintaining their Continuous Professional Development.
What is Continuing Professional Development?
Put simply, Continuing Professional Development, most commonly known as CPD, is keeping up to date with professional knowledge and skills that are needed for your work or profession.
Why is CPD important?
Most industry bodies require evidence of CPD as part of their membership criteria. For example, the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) requires evidence of ongoing CPD for operatives to be deemed as technically competent by a certification or registration body. Members of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), are also required to provide evidence of CPD, with the Institute recommending that professionally active members complete at least 30 hrs of CPD in a calendar year.
Not only does CPD keep you up to date with changes to industry regulations and the latest product and service innovations within the industry, but it also provides opportunities to improve efficiency within your business. Regular CPD can help you and your employees stay ahead of the competition, giving you a competitive edge when tendering or bidding for new work. Join us at ETT’s industry event and keep your CPD record up to date!
With this in mind, ETT’s Stay Connected industry event covers a wide range of topics. Workshops will be delivered by experts in their field.
