Job Description: Responsibilities:
  • Ensure work is completed on-time, in budget, and to a high standard. Complying with all customer site rules.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers; including providing good levels of customer service and promoting the Company by distributing promotional materials.
  • Communicate effectively with employees on a regular basis, including employees from other Departments.
  • Ensure work and performance is compliant with the ISO Management Systems, contributing to the continual improvement culture throughout the Company.
  • Legal Duty of Care and a responsibility for good Health and Safety practice in the workplace, for both personal actions and omissions that may impact upon colleagues, customers, the public, etc.
  • Ensure Company vehicles, tools, and equipment under your control are maintained in good condition and that the Company Housekeeping Policy is maintained.
  • May be required to work for other Departments within the Company from time-to-time.
  • May have additional responsibilities such as: First Aider, Apprentice Mentor, Employee Committee, etc.
  • May be required to hold additional Licenses, Training and Qualifications such as: Forklift, Scissor/Boom, etc.
  • May be required to undertake reasonable Ad Hoc duties, as required, according to the needs of the Company. This list is not exhaustive and reasonable duties deemed to be beneficial to the individual or the organisation may also form part of these Roles and Responsibilities.

Other Information: This role is permanent full time (38 hours p/w) with potential for overtime. 29 days holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays. Experience Required

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

Essential Criteria

Must be qualified to Diploma/Degree level in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or similar), with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Industry. Must have experience using a leading CAD package (AutoCAD or similar), and vast experience of PLC programming with various software packages. It is key that applicants have experience of:
  • Preparing detailed specifications, documentation, and drawings using CAD software
  • Producing new designs, as well as updating existing designs to applicable standards
  • Optimising designs, taking into consideration functionality, durability, cost, and repeatability
  • On-site programming and fault finding HMIs and PLCs, with various software packages to meet requirements
  • Liaising with other Departments to meet customer requirements
  • Producing O&M Manuals for each job
Must have the ability to work as part of a team, operate under minimal supervision, and prioritise tasks effectively for best productivity. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has strong problem-solving skills. Travel to customer sites will be required, therefore the successful applicant must have a full driving license.

Desired Criteria

Knowledge and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
