Remaining up to date with the current requirements of BS7671, means that you are less reliant on the say so of others. You will be better placed to independently interpret, determine and consult on workplace technical problems. Out of date qualifications may put you at a disadvantage when dealing with customers or peers on technical matters.
The possibility of designing and installing work to an older set of requirements, may introduce legal and safety concerns. This could result in the need for the work to be removed or brought up to the current standard. Unaccredited learning and self-taught knowledge picked up on-site or through the internet, risks being applied out of context and may lack recognition due to the absence of a formal up to date qualification.
For some, the learning and assessment process can be perceived as time consuming, costly and perhaps intimidating. However, the majority of candidates coming forward, do so because they appreciate the need to invest in training and personal development.
Our 2 day live online course has been designed for those people working within the electrotechnical industry who require working knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018.
