‘Don’t get taken for a ride by Rogue Trainers’

It’s great to see TESP’s latest campaign which highlights the risks linked to rogue trainers within the UK industry.

Aimed at people outside of the industry who want to become a qualified electrician, TESP hopes to help people avoid training providers who promote courses which look impressive to the untrained eye, but with further investigation don’t lead to qualified status.

The rogue trainers campaign website provides 5 top tips for choosing a training provider –

1. Read the small print carefully
2. Check whether you are eligible for any funding
3. Check whether your existing qualifications can be recognised
4. Look at reviews and feedback
5. Avoid hard sells

The website also provides some important red flags to look out for when researching a provider’s claims and links to TESP’s industry approved Training Routes.
