Boosting Skills and Sparking Knowledge: ETT’s CPD Courses with Sparky Ninja a Resounding Success

Last week, ETT hosted three outstanding CPD technical training courses for the NI electrical industry – and what a success they were! Delivered by none other than David Watts, widely known and respected in the industry as SparkyNinja, these sessions were a huge hit with attendees, with excellent feedback all round!

The Courses That Delivered

Over three one-day sessions, electricians from across Northern Ireland had the opportunity to deepen their technical knowledge in key areas:

  • Surge Protection – A timely and crucial topic for both domestic and commercial settings, focusing on the importance of protecting installations from voltage spikes.
  • Diverted Neutral Current – A deep dive into a growing issue affecting safety and compliance, delivered with practical clarity.
  • Introduction to Thermography – Exploring how thermal imaging can be used as a powerful diagnostic and preventative maintenance tool in electrical systems.

Each session was packed with expert insight, live demonstrations, real-world examples, and actionable tips. Attendees walked away with valuable CPD hours and practical knowledge they can use immediately on-site.

Industry Feedback

The response has been overwhelmingly positive – from the quality of content to David’s engaging delivery style. Electricians valued the chance to learn directly from one of the most respected voices in the industry, and many commented on how relevant and applicable the training was to their day-to-day work.

What’s Next?

If you missed out this time, don’t worry – David Watts will be back! He’ll be joining us again for our Stay Connected Industry Event on 26th November 2025 – a key date in the calendar for anyone working in the electrical industry in Northern Ireland.
