If you are an electrician or professional looking to gain the latest qualification relating to the IET Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 (18th Edition) then this is the course for you.  This course is designed to give the candidate an opportunity to gain knowledge on the Requirements for Electrical Installations and an understanding of the key changes to ensure they have the ability to comply with BS 7671:2018+A4:2026.  This course has been recently updated to incorporate Amendment 4, released on 15th April 2026. Significant changes include:

  • A new chapter on Stationary Secondary Batteries where the purpose is for electrical storage and supply of electrical installations
  • A new section on Functional earthing and functional equipotential bonding for information and communication technology (ICT) equipment and systems
  • A new section on Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • A major revision of Section 710 Medical Locations and the inclusion of a schedule of test results for recording the resistance of supplementary protective equipotential bonding conductors

Amendment 4 can be implemented immediately when published on 15 April 2026 and the previous version, BS 7671:2018+A2:2022+A3:2024, will be withdrawn six months later.  This essential update to the IET Wiring Regulations will form the UK national standard for:

  • All new low voltage electrical installations
  • Additions and alterations to existing installations
  • Periodic inspection and testing of existing installations

Structure

During this 2 day theory based course, you will be shown how to interpret and implement the requirements of BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. This will enable you to understand the requirements for a variety of installations and locations. The course will be delivered over 2 days, with the aim of preparing candidates for success in the achievement of the C&G accredited qualification. The following topics will be covered

Exams and Assessments

We cannot accept any registrations for candidates under 18 as these qualifications are not approved for under 18s.  The dates for the online exam will be confirmed with you on the day of the course. It usually takes place approximately 2 – 3 weeks after your course allowing time for home study.

  • Online multiple choice exam 2hr (open book). Please note your first attempt at the exam is included in the price of this course.  Any subsequent resits will incur a fee.
