TESP searches for Electrotechnical Ambassadors
TESP is asking the industry to lend their skills and industry experience to connect with young people and inspire them to become the next generation of electrical professionals.
As an ambassador you can deliver a range of activities, from career talks to practical workshops, to:
- Support learning by bringing it to life
- Raise aspirations in young people and give them the opportunity to meet a role model
- Showcase different careers and provide information on the roles and pathways
The Electrotechnical Ambassador scheme is flexible and allows you to volunteer in a way that suits you. It could be in person, in schools or in community groups or virtually to reach a wider audience.
Training and support are provided by your local STEM Ambassador Hub so it is up to you to choose / offer the activities you have the time for and feel comfortable getting involved with. Becoming a STEM Ambassador brings a lot of personal benefits and also has a positive impact on the lives of young people.
