This course is aimed at those who will have responsibility for designing, supervising, installing and testing electrical installations.

This course is delivered over 6 days [2 separate online sessions, followed by one to one assignment building]. The first 2 day session will be delivered on the 6th & 7th January 2021 and the second session will be delivered on the 19th, 20th & 21st January 2021. One to one assignment building time will then be arranged in the following weeks.

To complete the training, you will need to have either a PC or laptop with a webcam and be able to download GoToTraining software prior to the course commencing. Step by step guidance on how to access the training will be provided to you.

You will need to have a copy of the required books for the course.  Please note, we will provide a clean copies of the books for the exam which is undertaken at our City & Guilds Centre.

What to expect

We will send you a learning pack in the post with everything you will need on the day of the course. . This is a Level 4 subject, so you’ll be expected to peddle hard and study even when the course delivery phase is completed.

Don’t worry if you aren’t confident with computers, all you have to do is click a link and enter a few details to join the online classroom. When the live classroom finishes, we will provide you with further guidance and resources for revision, assignment completion and exam preparation.

Who Should Attend?

This course is aimed at those who will have responsibility for designing, supervising, installing and testing electrical installations.

Before undertaking this qualification candidates should seriously consider undertaking the Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations and/or Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations as well as obtaining industry experience.  It is also strongly recommended that candidates have achieved a certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671) qualifications where candidates have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the 17th edition in order to ensure they have every opportunity of achieving this qualification.  If you are unsure of your suitability please contact us on 02825650750.

Exams and Assessments

40 hour project and a 3 hour open book exam.  Please note your first attempt at the exam is included in the price of this course.  Any subsequent resits will incur a fee of £95.

Please note: Awarding Bodies allow the examination centre to make their own choice on the exam book policy.  ETT adopts a clean book policy for all online examinations.  This means that candidates cannot bring their own books into the exam room, ETT will provide all candidates with a clean book for the duration of their exam.

Terms and Conditions

We understand that it may be necessary for you to cancel your course booking. If you do cancel, we will refund your payment in accordance with the policy as set out below.

You must provide us with notice of cancellation by email to info@ett-ni.org. Failure to do so will mean your cancellation will not be processed, and any money owed may be lost. If you provide us with notice of cancellation 28 days before the date of the course, we will refund you with 100% of your payment, minus any non-refundable deposit. We will be unable to provide you with a refund where notice of cancellation is received after this period. Where payment has not already been received, you will be invoiced for the amount owed.

We do our best to run all scheduled courses. However, from time to time it may be necessary to cancel or postpone courses due to circumstances beyond our control. If this should happen, we will take all reasonable steps to notify you in good time. We will also refund 100% of your payment.
