This Course Covers
The course will cover in detail the applications of conducting Initial Verification and Periodic Inspections of electrical installations from a theoretical viewpoint. The course will improve candidates understanding in these aspects and ensure correct methods and procedures are applied when conducting inspection and test on site. The course covers the requirements for being able to inspect and test older electrical installations. The main points covered would be;

Exams and Assessments
2 hour online open book exam
1 day practical assessment
Please note: Inline with awarding body guidance candidates are not permitted to use their own books in exams. A clean book will be provided by the Centre for all candidates. Any subsequent resits will incur a fee.
The award is primarily for practising electricians, who are experienced in inspection and testing. Understanding the operation of own test instruments is advised. A BS7671 wiring regulations course and/or a Refresher course prior to attendance would be beneficial.
What you get
On successful completion of the course, you will receive a City & Guilds Level 3 certificate.
Candidates who successfully achieve this qualification can progress on to the C&G 2396 Level 4 Award in the Design & Verification of Electrical Installations
